Talking Tree

" 𝑻𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒆 " 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 India.

QR-code stickers have been applied to the trees on campus. As the tree speaks, one gets detailed information after scanning using the mobile application. Dr. Sarang Dhote, Assistant Professor department of Chemistry, developed the app and first time launched on occasion of National Science Day Feb. 2020.The goal of this programme is to raise tree awareness and knowledge among students, teachers, and visitors. This app is available on Google Play store with the name of “Talking Tree JDPS Daryapur”.  TLC's Nagpur made a technology transfer agreement with Dr. Sarang S. Dhote in 2020 with this project successfully installed in various organization.

You need to configure your phone for text to speech operation before trying this app. Go to Settings->Voice input and output->Text-to-speech settings, under language tab select languages like  Hindi, Marathi, Kannada etc... then file starts to download. Then again check app.
